Pumpkin Baked Brie Puff Pastry Bites

Today I decided to create these small treats perfect for fall! I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients  

Apple Compote
  • 1 apple cut in small pieces
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
Pumpkin Puff Pastry
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 small wheel Brie cheese
  • 1 tbsp of apple compote
  • Cooking twine
  • Almond sticks (for stems)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the Our Place Wonder Oven to 375°F.
  2. Make compote: To a pan add an apple, maple syrup, vanilla and let cook until apples are caramelized. Make sure you stir a couple of times so it doesn't stick.
  3. Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of apple compote and a slice of Brie in the center of each square.
  4. Fold pastry around Brie, pinch edges, and tie with cooking twine to form a pumpkin shape.
  5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  7. Remove twine and insert an almond stick as a stem.
  8. Enjoy!
