After opening their first location in the Old Port, Émiliano Gonzalez, Jacques Coutu, Charlotte Chevalier and Adrian Becerra have decided to bring their restaurant in the Mile End for locals to enjoy. The restaurant is composed of 2 different rooms, one bar section with around 50 seats which offer a very moody feel and the other, a dinning room, in which we can enjoy an open kitchen experience giving the opportunity to clients to observe chef Jacques Coutu.
Their menu offers authentic yet modern Mexican food similar to the one in the old port. We started our meal with the classic Catrina Margarita: tequila El Jimador, Cointreau, Agave Syrup, Orange, Lime & Citrus Salt, definitely a must! We also got to try out many food items:
As for the tacos, we got a degustation platter which had:
Everything we got to try was delicious! Our favorites and definitely a must when you go is the Esquites & the Tinga de Pollo Taco! Both dishes that you can get at any restaurant but at La Catrina they give it an original twist making it worth the trip!
The works of art displayed through the restaurant are just amazing and the ambiance definitely makes you feel like you've travelled all the way to Mexico. Definitely the place to go for a girl's or guys night!
Safe Travels hehe & Bon Appétit!
