After a year, we finally made it back to Toronto and just in time for one of our favorite hotel's opening: the 1 Hotel. The 1 hotel is a sustainably oriented hotel trying to create a luxurious experience for their clients at the same time as being environmentally responsible.
Located about an hour away from downtown Toronto, Parkwood estate is a must visit on your way to the big city! It is such a beautiful spot and at the estate there is also the teahouse restaurant where you can stop for a quick lunch break before making it to Toronto.
To be honest the only thing we did all weekend was pretty much eat! So, I have a full list of places to share including some already mentioned favorites in articles but also new places we discovered.
A recently opened pastry shop offering a variety of sweet and salty treats! A very cute spot to grab breakfast! Open Wednesday to Sunday (10am-6pm).
We decided to go for breakfast as I really wanted to try their chicken and waffle which was to die for! But it is also open for lunch and dinner. It offers a farm to table experience with all ingredients coming from within a sustainable distance of the hotel itself! (Open daily)
This pastry shop has been my favorite in the Toronto area ever since I discovered it a couple years ago. Their pastries are always delightful and ever so changing which allows clients to always indulge a new treat. You can never go wrong with a good croissant am I right ?! Open Wednesday to Sunday (9am to 5pm).
This spot is a cute ephemere terrace located in the Shangri-La Hotel. It is definitely a must do if you are in Toronto before the end of summer, especially for brunch time. Their banana bread french toast was delicious and the terrace itself is super cute!
A classic and a must in NYC, I am so happy we now have an Eataly location in Canada. I am a huge italian food fan and this place is legit heaven on Earth! Wether you go for a full meal, to grab a snack or to do your groceries the day of your return from Toronto (or if you do all 3 like me haha) this is definitely a must in Toronto.
One of our favorites restaurants in the city (yes, yes it is italian again...), and their 100 layer lasagna is a classic you must try out! As well, their crispy potatoes are some of the best potatoes I've ever had! Overall it's the perfect spot for a date night or just a fancy girl's night out.
Located on the roof of the Broadview hotel, this place is perfect for drinks with a view on the city!
Located in the lobby of the 1 Hotel, this lounge is the perfect 5 a 7! They offer a variety of original cocktails for everyone's taste and also have bites to choose from which are cooking in the 1 kitchen restaurant so you know it has to be good!
