Spending a week in Portugal this summer? We visited Porto for 8 days and it was an incredible destination perfect to enjoy you Euro Summer!

Where to Stay

We spent our week at an incredible airbnb located just a few minutes from the Trindade. It is perfectly located close enough to the city center to walk pretty much anywhere or take the metro, but off the beaten track so that you aren't located on a busy street.

The perfect place for a lunch or quick refuel.The menu snack bar is pretty extensive with pretty much everything you need for a bite to eat without breaking the bank!

  • Ponte de Ferro Restaurant

Located close to the Jardim do Morro and under the bridge, it's the best spot to catch the sunset!

There are multiple cute local bars with amazing & creative mixologists that have created a unique cocktail list to choose from!

You're essentially paying for the view/location but potentially worth it for one or two drinks before you head home!

What to do

  • Join a pastel de nata baking class
  • Visit the Garden of the Cristal Palace

Take a full-day guided tour booked through GETYOURGUIDE. Embark on a full-day guided tour of Guimarães and Braga from Porto. Pass through the scenic Minho region and explore the two city centers. Grab lunch at Inato A suggestion from the Michelin guide! It offers an unforgettable meal by combining the best ingredients with the most innovative techniques! Don't forget to see the Bom de Jesus: As part ofthe tour you will get the chance to visit this incredible sanctuary which has 573 stairs.

  • Spend the Day or an afternoon at Foz do Douro

Take the tram (line 1) to go to Foz Do Douro 30 minutes away (cash only, 6 euro 1 way and 8 euros for a round trip). Enjoy breakfast at Tavi Confeitaria and then head over to the beach or the beach club Praia da Luz to enjoy the sun and a drink!
