Weekend Away: Festive Trip to Quebec City

Earlier this month I got the chance to explore Quebec City during the happiest time of the year! I love Quebec City during the holidays because it's just the perfect Christmas Vibes! Here are some of my favorite things we did during our roadtrip there!

Where to Stay

We got to experience the perfect stay in one of Corporate Stays apartment. They offer a homelike housing solution for travellers across all maior Canadian cities: Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Ouebec City. Calgary. Edmonton, Halifax, Winnipeg. I love feeling at home when I'm on a trip and with Corporate Stays it's all about the entire guest experience and they make sure you feel right at home!

What to do

A classic spot to visit during the holiday season is the Marché de Noël Allemand. The market is located throughout Old Quebec and presents a multitude of exhibitors from local shops to authentic German products.

If you want to see all the German products, head directly to the Chateau Frontenac and most of the classic German stands will be right there! Look out for the red stars

With having a lovely apartment, we also wanted to enjoy it to its fullest. We decided to grab some of our favorite treats in Quebec City as well as some treats from the market and make the ultimate breakfast in bed! Nothing better than relaxing and enjoying some good food in the comfort of our own bed!

Where to Eat

  • Coffee and donuts at Café Saint-Henri

The ideal way to start the day! The best coffee shop in Quebec City in my opinion and a great spot to grab a little freshly made donut before you start your day! Plus, during the holidays, the interior is all decorated and festive, perfect to put you in the right mood!

You can never go wrong with this place for breakfast! whether you like a classic benedictine or a lighter option of even a poutine, they got you covered!

This has been a classic for me for many years now! It usually opens around 3pm except for when they offer their afternoon tea (usually held on weekends). They have a great lunch menu but let's be honest I come here for the hot cocoa by the fireplace! It's the perfect way to defrost from the cold and enjoy the cozy vibes!

I discovered this place right before our trip and it is definitely a must try! The perfect spot for a chill date night! It's a Japanese tavern offering a multitude of small plates perfect to share and try many different things!

Bonne Appétit & Safe Travels!
