Eat Locaal - Ready to Eat Local Meals Delivered to Your Door

Does anything sound better than eating a fresh, local and seasonal meals that are chef made and easy to cook?

Locaal is a new concept in Montreal (including Laval and from Brossard to Boucherville) all about eating local, simplicity & being eco-friendly.

Locally Sourced

If there is one thing I have realized throughout this pandemic is that supporting and eating local is now more important than ever! Did you know that if each consumer purchased 30$ more of local products each year, 1 billion dollars would be injected into our local economy in 5 years? Crazy right?! Locaal uses all local ingredients from around Quebec to create seasonal & original recipes. Not only that but all recipes are created by chef Martin Patenaude, to produce quality dishes worthy of restaurant meals.

Environmentally Friendly

By working with local producers, Locaal not only encourages eating local but they are also helping to reduce our carbon footprint. In fact, by sourcing products directly from local farmers, we can reduce the distance our fruits and vegetables have to travel by 5 to 10 times. They also reduce their footprint, by offering a delivery service that is partly carbon neutral (such as using cargo bike or electric van). Finally, everything from the box to each individual meal packaging is recycled and recyclable as well as locally made in Quebec!

Simply Delicious

Every week, Locaal presents 10 dishes to choose from (4 changing on a monthly basis and 6 changing every 2 weeks) with prices ranging from ~$14 to $20. They also offer a variety of desserts, created in collaboration with chef Marie-Ève Langlois at $7.99 each. The best part of all, is that your meal is ready in 2 minutes. Just place the plate in the microwave for 2 minutes and enjoy your meal (the dishes can be refrigerated for up to 6 days and frozen if needed to reduce food waste)! I had the chance to try the Bison and one of their monthly dishes, the squash and saffron vegetarian Orgetto, which is still available, and I have to say I loved everything!!! As well, I tried the sea buckthorn crémeux and it's a must! Definitely the perfect date night!
